Requesting Help - Submitting A Request For WAsafe BSEs

Submit a request to the local EOC, following the jurisdiction's process.

  • The jurisdiction's process will dictate the mechanism, such as through the WebEOC platform.
  • Include a request for a State EOC Mission Number, if the jurisdiction has not already done so.
  • Include the following information in the request:
    • Name of requesting jurisdiction.
    • How many BSEs, and of what WAsafe Types.  A request for a WAsafe On-site Leader or quality manager, can be included, if desired.  See the Determining Resources webpage.
    • Length of deployment—how long will volunteer BSEs be needed?
    • Building stock needing to be evaluated—approximate numbers of buildings, the sizes, and the types of construction.
    • Contact information for a jurisdictional employee who can answer WAsafe Coordinator questions regarding the request for volunteers--name, email address, and phone number.
    • Check-in location for volunteer BSEs
    • Contact information for the jurisdictional employee who is responsible to supervise the BSEs, if different from above.
    • Logistical support (meals or lodging) being provided, if any.  (Providing these is optional.)
