NIMS RESOURCE TYPES

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has established national standards for Building Safety Evaluators, referred to as the NIMS Resource Types on this website.  For many reasons, WAsafe is not using the NIMS classifications.  However, some jurisdictions may desire to use the NIMS Resource Types for requesting BSEs, or volunteers from other states may already have the qualifications.  For those cases, links to the NIMS classifications and a mapping of NIMS Resource Types to WAsafe BSE types are provided on the NIMS Resource Types page.
